Jackpocket vs Mido Lotto: recurring charges and stopping orders

A Jackpocket Smart Order payment and a Mido wallet payment can represent different events. Match the instruction, stop record and financial reference before assuming what a charge purchased.

Identify the permission behind an unexpected charge. Deleting an order instruction, pausing it and stopping wallet funding answer different questions. A button label alone does not reconcile a bank statement.

This comparison covers selected US lottery-courier documents, not a shared availability list or a tested account. Jackpocket’s documents were read on 7 October 2026; its current site links terms marked 31 December 2025. Mido’s retained documents were read on 7 October 2026, with terms effective 29 December 2023. Neither selected help article displays an edition date. Your jurisdiction, accepted contract, enabled permissions and transaction outcomes remain unknown.

Compare the two triggers

Jackpocket’s terms, section 9 describe criteria-triggered Smart Orders charged to the selected payment method, including applicable fees. The Smart Order help describes balance funding or an assigned payment method in most jurisdictions. It excludes New York from Smart Orders; we do not compare its separate PrePaid product here.

Mido’s Autoplay help describes recurring orders using wallet funds, a receipt per placed order and pausing for insufficient funds or unavailable-state location. Separately, section 2.7 of its terms permits elected wallet funding when the balance falls below a chosen amount, using a chosen payment amount. A cancellation request for that funding may take up to 72 hours to take effect. That clause excludes refunds for tickets ordered before cancellation becomes effective.

The table uses alphabetical platform order. It compares documented instructions rather than awarding a winner or assuming both services work for the same customer.

QuestionJackpocketMido Lotto
What triggers the described payment?Order criteria trigger the total charge to the selected method.Autoplay spends wallet funds; separately elected funding has a balance trigger.
What does a failed attempt do?That individual order is not retried; future orders remain enabled.Insufficient wallet funds pause Autoplay; help describes loading funds and restarting it.
What does stopping affect?Cancellation takes effect immediately for future orders not yet triggered or placed; you cannot cancel a placed order. The 72-hour wording addresses elected funding, not an Autoplay cancellation timetable.
What still needs account evidence? The particular instruction, selected method and order state. The Autoplay state and any separate funding election.

A failure is therefore a poor substitute for a cancellation record. When checking either account, identify the specific instruction rather than recording only “automatic payments stopped.” The selected documents do not establish that one change removes every other payment permission. They also do not establish a refund to your bank merely because you changed an instruction.

One bank amount can describe different activity

Consider Robin, a hypothetical customer trying to explain $18 of external payments alongside orders valued at $6 each. These invented amounts are neither platform prices nor fee quotes. Assume the illustrative order amounts already include every relevant cost. The arithmetic 3 × $6 = $18 establishes a total, not the reason for a debit.

In one scenario, Robin has assigned an external payment method to three illustrative Jackpocket Smart Orders. If each order produces its own successful $6 payment, the three financial records total $18. That is an assumed scenario, not a statement that Jackpocket aggregates charges or that any particular order succeeded.

In a different scenario, Robin records a single $18 payment into a Mido wallet. If three subsequent $6 orders are deducted, the hypothetical wallet balance moves from $18 to $12, then $6, then $0. Those order deductions are not three additional external payments in this illustration. The funding election, actual financial record and matching wallet credit still need separate evidence.

Hypothetical observationRecord needed to explain itConclusion still unsupported
Three $6 external paymentsEach payment reference and corresponding order referenceThat every ordered ticket was fulfilled
One $18 wallet creditThe funding authority and matching external transactionThat three ticket orders already exist
Three $6 wallet deductionsEach order’s receipt, draw and ticket recordThat the bank was charged three more times
A later $18 bank entry after a stop requestIts transaction reference, instruction and effective-stop recordThat it is either valid or erroneous solely because of its date

The useful comparison is the path connecting the records. Start with the bank entry, then identify whether it corresponds to an order payment, wallet funding or an adjustment. Match its reference and amount to the next record instead of assuming that similar totals describe the same event.

A statement date also need not answer when an instruction was triggered. Preserve the request time, effective status, relevant order reference and transaction reference. If their timestamps use different time zones, retain those labels. Missing records should remain missing rather than being filled with a guessed explanation.

Ask a question the records can answer

For an unexplained transaction, a precise question is: “Which permission and reference produced this payment, and what order or wallet entry corresponds to it?” Add the specific stop request you are asking the provider to reconcile. Avoid treating an active instruction, an unsuccessful attempt and a completed ticket as interchangeable outcomes.

Jackpocket’s section 7 distinguishes payment or an order acknowledgement from a validly issued ticket. More generally, a financial reconciliation and proof of participation are separate tasks. Our ticket-record guide explains how to connect an order to a particular ticket and draw. The subscription guide provides the broader framework for reviewing continuing instructions.

Frequently asked questions

Does a failed payment close the recurring instruction?

Not necessarily. Jackpocket keeps Smart Order active after an individual payment failure. Mido’s help describes an insufficient-wallet pause. Neither observation proves completed cancellation.

Is 72 hours a cancellation window for both platforms?

No. That wording concerns Mido’s separately elected wallet funding. It is not a shared deadline or an Autoplay timing rule.

Does an order receipt explain every bank charge?

No. Match the receipt to its order and financial reference. A separate wallet payment needs its own authority and matching records; the same amount alone does not identify it.
